www.valcox.com

is this the correct addy?

it takes me directly to a login page, with nothing about how my information will or will not be used not to mention without seeing anything else what would make me want to give away all my personal information? so I'm thinking there must be another link somewhere I'm not finding.

That is the right address. It signed me right in. Initially, I was not so sure about the info giving part either, but it is the right address and once you go thru that step, which is the ONLY way in, it will just sign you in if you pick that option. I have never gotten junk or anything from signing up. Val is away this weekend, so the store is empty anyway! Mmmm, need more frit... I am so in love with silver lake!

hmmm.... seem an unusual way to operate a store... potential customers unable to even view products before giving away personal information.

Hey Camie,
I always go to Val's site by going through www.glasspoet.com not sure if it takes you to the same page as the above link does. I didn't try the link above. Plus I have been registered for so long the site remembers me now.

Camie,

Val is an awesome person and would not do anything with your information. If you visit her forum she explains why she has her store set up this way in one of the threads. If you are uncomfortable giving your info just email her and she will set up a guest login for you. Here is her forum addy:

http://www.wetcanvas.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=128. Her store is closed until Monday though as Janine mentioned. I've been stalking it all day hoping she would open it for a little bit lol.

Val's a member of this forum, so you could send her a PM. She is really very nice and is really accommodating. I know what you mean, though...there are many sites I've never seen because I refuse to set up an account for something I'm only checking out.

thanks. Found the thread, seems she needs a better cart program LOL
Thanks Shawn it still wants me to log in. I don't necessarily have a problem with that I mean our information is all over the web with dh's business, it just seems an odd way to run a business... makes it seem more like a private club

But it's a really, really cool club. The benefit to registering is that it speeds up the ordering process, which many of us have learned is critical because the new frits or canes can sell out very quickly. Obviously way too many of us stalk her site.
