i already have the kalera nugget and it is one of my favourite presses. My question is this if I where to buy the puffy pillow duo mid size on this page http://www.cattwalk.com/Pillows.htm would it be too similar to my kalera nugget? Are they different enough to make worth having? Also how different is zooziis new special nugget from the original kalera nugget? Has anyone got photos comparing the beads from the 2 of them?

The presses I already have are a lentil trio (hate it and never use it it's too hard), button press (love it), crystal press, 32mm lentil press and a bead crunch press. What other presses are really great? i make heaps of sets with the button and the kalera nugget and want a few more presses but nothing seems to really catch my eye.
What presses can't you live without?

i am thinking about maybe getting the zooie sweetie hearts or a cattwalk marquis are these presses good? What presses make good beads for necklaces?
thanks for all your help guys 'n' gals!

The only Zooziis press I have are the single pillow and Diamond.

But my favorite presses of all time is the cattwalk puffy pillow and puffy pillow duo !

I see you have the lentil trio and Hate it.... Ekkk.... I love mine it's so verstable...Not just to make lentil shaped beads...I use mine as a maver a frit tray.

As far as presses I can't live without thats not on your list is my cattwalk 1.5lentil.

Cattwalk's puffy pillows have squarer edges than the nugget, look at the black floral ones. They feel quite a bit chunkier all round. Nice shape, but they are quite tricky to use. The sleek pillows are closer to the nuggets.

The lentil is really easy once you learn "the secret."

Start your bead, marver it out a little, add more to the middle and then use the lentil base to marver it out so you get the right shape. It doesn't take much practice to figure out how much glass you need.

I love my lentil but my absolute fave is the orb.

I like the pillow and the nugget but those square corners give me fits.

Mary is right. I sold my CW Puffy Pillow after getting the Kalera nugget trio. However, I kept my CW sleek pillow - I like those!

MB - isn't the Kalera Nugget the same shape as the CW sleek pillow?

Nope - the Kalera nugget is square. The sleek pillow is rectangular.

I have the Zooziis Special Nugget which is rectangular and I love it. Don't forget if you are going to the Cattwalk Presses, they need a base (I think?) while the Zooziis are freestanding. I wouldn't buy the puffy pillow if you have the Kalera Nugget, I never use mine anymore. Here are some photos comparing the Kalera and the Special Nugget

Darleen, will this work with the Tapley lentil tongs? I find that I lose my nice holes, instead of a dimple I end up with a flat or ragged edge. It drives me nuts because the bead may be beautiful but with bad holes it's no good to sell. I'd love any advice anyone has on this! Thanks!

Cheryl, I don't know but I don't see any reason why not. If the tongs have a large enough space between the two pads I'd think you could marver your bead on that before you press. Also, marvering it like that before you press helps keep the whole thing even right out to the ends. :)

From what I understand, the nugget is slightly tapered down on two sides, with the other two sides being straight. The puffy pillow is slightly tapered down on all four sides.
I have the nugget, don't use it much. I think I might prefer the puffy pillow.
