can somebody tell me the difference between alabastar and opalino..thanks

Chemically, I can't help you. :) Visually, alabastros work up like a mildly translucent 'opaque' color, often with some random veining or lines that make it look like alabaster stone. Opalinos are much more translucent, very milky in appearance.
In terms of working....alabastros are finicky as hell, tend to be very shocky, REALLY want to be as preheated as possible (but will still probably break on you). I just don't like them, though the pine green is fantastic for Xmas trees. Opalinos need a little care...you need to heat them slowly in a cool flame or they'll boil, but once you get the 'touch' for them, they're really wonderful to use. The periwinkle blue is one of my favorites, as is the chameleon-like carnelian (pick a shade from ivory to orange to watermelon pink, it's in there!)

I love the opalino Nile Green. It takes patience to work with it but it is such a beautiful color. 65523
I have to be in the mood to spend the time on it.
