I need some help please and suggestions.
I want to set up a page linked off of my DH's website for my beads and jewelry but I really know noting about how all this works.
Our web hoster who manages and adds to his page said she can set up the page (link) for me but I want to be able to change pics and update my page anytime rather than have to call her evertime I need to make changes and that will be WAY more often than my DH makes changes.
Can I buy a template and upload it to that page she sets up for me and control my stuff from there?
Any help would be apprpeciated and also suggestions on who ohas different template for me to purchase.
Thanks for any help or suggestions!
:D
I wish I could help, but I'm clueless. I have mine thru godaddy and it's really cheap and someone on LE set it up for me really cheap, too. And she told me how to do my pictures etc. I really need to work on it and figure out stuff but if I just took the time I could do it.
I think my website tonight manager thingy is like $4.99 a month. PM me and I'll give you all the gory details if you want it:lol: Oh and I have 5 pages included which is enough for me.
See I'm no help at all...just call me ramblin rose.
Sorry.
Annie
ETA...I said all that just to say that probably someone can tell you how to do it from your husbands.

For you to make changes yourself, you either need to:
1) understand how to make webpages (using html code or an editor) & how to upload files to your server
or
2) have a dynamic site that allows you to make changes using a broswer, like how LE or blogs work. your dh's web master can make you one, (probably for $$$) or you can use existing free stuff.
If you know nothing, but want to make this happen, I'd suggest starting a free blog using something like http://www.blogger.com. This will let you make & edit posts much like you do here on LE, but you can pick your own template.
Blogger should have a way to upload images & some form of hosting. If not, there are lots of free options like http://www.flickr.com. You upload images to flickr, then link to them from your blog. Flickr has a few handy helper applications that let you drag & drop from your desktop to upload.
Once you have your blog set up how you like it, let your dh's web person know the url & she can add a link to his page.

OKay I can do #1 - I know how to upload and DS knows HTML so its just a matter of me learning.
K, the dynamic site thing I think our web person can do but I really appreciate the blogger info. That is the only real way I'll learn is to do it myself.
I have seen free templates out there somewhere to start with (can't remember where) but I do want to buy one eventually...
Thanks Lavendar, appreciate the info and help! :)
