What to do with hollow glass rod??

In my most recent order from Glass Smith in Victoria, Carol included a few extra items. One of them is a clear hollow glass rod. What can I do with this? (besides using it as a straw:grin: )

I've been thinking of purchasing some of these because I read that you can blow glass shards with them, you can, of course, make beads on them, and you can make hollow vessels. That's all I know, but thought I'd try to help much as I can even tho it ain't much.
