I've been trying to find a nice bright pinky coral (my favorite color for summer) and can't seem to find one after trying all the moretti Corals... they turn too orangey? What do u use or how do u get that color??? Can't wait for the replies... getting frustrated!](*,) Shari Barry
Try a base bead of Lauscha trans peach and encase lightly in Moretti Carnelian opal.

some of the old corals from about 2 years ago were more pink.....
there is a new odd lot shipment of Vetros that may be more what you are looking for. Suzanne posted some pics in the gallery....Frantz carries some of the colors.....
Shari,
I miss those old corals too. They were such a pretty pink coral. I have about 3 inches, and can't find more.
Nagi, Are the Vetros you refer to being carried by only Frantz?

I am not sure. I haven't seen them elsewhere except for the Belgian vendor mentioned in the thread(they sell on eBay too)
I'm going to ask Deonne at Galaxy Glass whether she will be expecting them too....they look pretty!

I like powder pink for a muted coral, might be a little too brown and not enough pink for you though. The flowers here are powder pink with vetro light transparent brown on top, maybe with a trans. pink on top, it could work. Good luck.

I was thinking of trying the moretti peach persimmon? I tried the ruby grapefruit and it was too orange? What are the thoughts on that one? Why is this so hard? Any input is soooooo appreciated! This group is the best :-D Shari

Wow! Those are so cool. I always way overwork my beads. Maybe I'll remember not to more often if I think of these.
Maybe this is a dumb question but was that odd lot also called Coral?

this is sunny mango coral I believe. I can double check for ya if you would like but I am pretty sure that is what it is....i love it and wish I had more than the 1/2 lb that i do :)
Sondra, If it's still around I would love to get my hands on some. If you want more and I find it I could let you know.
Shari, I think I found what you (and me now) are looking for. Check out the new Vetrofond odd lots! I saw it in the gallery, the thread "New odd lot Vetrofond, 20 pics". I almost hate to post this 'cause I want some before it's gone. <EG>.
Anyway, there is a Watermelon and a Salmon that I think are very summer like. Coral is also my favorite color for summer!

Sondra, Now that I've thought about it, I'm thinking maybe the Watermelon that I posted to Shari about might be really close to what you have!
It has two colors in it. Could you please check the link I just posted too and see what you think?
Thanks a bunch!
Angela
I am soooo disappointed. I placed an order with Frantz to get the Vetrofond odd lot color Watermelon , also known now as Poppy, and it's back-ordered.
:(
That one color was the reason I placed an order to begin with. Of course I ended up ordering other colors too! (Blush).
I supposed it's my fault for not waiting to check stock instead of placing a web order. (They e-mailed me after the order had been processed to let me know it was out of stock).
If anyone gets this color and wants to sell a couple rods could you pretty please let me know?
Thanks so much,
Angela
PS: Perhaps we could trade colors if you wanted any of the other colors but couldn't get them.
