Hi guys,
Hoping someone might know this...if there's an answer.
What color in moretti or vetrofond transparent or opaque, mostly resembles a "gold" color.
Thanks
Irene----who's going to try electric yellow now:-)

Light Amber over silver foil or leaf.

Yep, what Shawnette said. I've also used light amber over paladinium (geez! how do you stop spelling this word..lol!) and that worked really well.
Here's a pic of an old set.

I'm trying to make beads with the colors of the "German" flag. I made some cool...um plunged dot beads? Transparent red, white dots with transparent yellow on top but then when I checked online, I noticed that the yellow is really more of a gold. So do you think I could make a plunged bead with silver foil and amber? I wouldn't know now to place the dots or...what if I make the red transparent bead, white dot...then take a silvered amber rod and drop a dot on top?? You think it would have the same effect???
Yea I could try now but's 2 am and I think I might fall asleep in the flame:-)
Thanks for the advice so far!
Oh hey, if you have anything that comes to you like a cool idea on some beads, please let me know...It's for a man and it's going to be on either a beadable pen or a letter opener! He's the last one I need to make for and I'm having problems getting "Manly Beads"

How about an opaque yellow as the base of the dot, plunge, and then cover with a light or medium amber? I haven't tried that but it sounds like if you use the right combination of yellow and amber, you'd get a more golden yellow like the German flag. I think that's what I'd experiment with, now that I know what you're looking for.

That's so funny! I'm a glass artist in the German Pavilion at Epcot and one of my coworkers (German) asked me to make a heart in the colors of the German flag. I used Dark Yellow, Dark Red and Black. It turned out beautiful! (The coworker is male, btw.)
Thanks Shawnette.....I just got home from work and am now going to try the silver foil and the dark yellow and see which one I like.
You have a totally cool job btw!!!
