My Flower Beads Suck. Help?

Every once in a while I give it another try. In general, I am very unhappy with my flower bead results. The flower petals always seem to blur and bleed. I can post a few pics if you don't know what I'm trying to say.

Here's my question: Should I be using effetre glass for the core bead before laying down the flowers? I use Lauscha clear usually. I have a feeling this is the cause of my problems. I use Lausca to encase, but should I not use it as the core?

Please tell me what manuf. glass you use for each part - core, petals, encasing.

I typically use moretti transparent colors for the base them pastels for the flower. Sometimes I use white then a transparent on top of the white to give it a 2 tone look. Then I encase in Lausha. I am by no means an expert though when it comes to florals. The bleeding you mentioned might be that you get the bead to hot before you poke it. Hope that helps a little.
