Heads up!

The sales tax rate in Minneapolis MN at the Gathering in July is 7.15%.

The MN Dept of Revenue is apparently strict at enforcing sales tax laws.

See this thread on the ISGB forum: http://www.isgb.org/forum/showthread.php?t=11448

If you will be vending, make sure you get your MN tax id and fill out an ST-19 as described in the thread.

If you have a beadmaking business, make sure you have your tax id form with you and be prepared to fill out ST3 forms. You way want to pre-print them and have them with you.

If your business is outside of MN, you should understand your own tax laws, especially with regards to manufacturing supplies and equipment. My understanding is that you do not need a MN tax id, but I am confirming that.

I'll check with the MN Dept of Revenue on out of country businesses.

If your business is inside MN, I'd love to hear your opinions (and tax publication references) on what is taxable when it comes to hand tools. I've read the relevant sales tax fact sheets, and I'm fairly confused.
