Torch Characteristics with Surface and Premix

I've gone off track in the other thread with this question - so I thought I'd post a separate thread on it.

For those of you who use a pre-mix torch - what is the flame like? I hear it can be reducing compared to a surface mix. What is your experience?

I haven't noticed anything like that. I have no problem getting a neutral or oxidizing flame on my CC.
