Well, now that I'm inside I don't remember the freakin' number I have on some rods I found. When I was on a hot head (last year 'bout this time, almost just gave everything away), I ruined a great number of glasses, and stuck them away somewhere "safe" in case I ever decided to try them again. As is usual, that safe place escaped my memory, and just today, I found a box of glass behind my glass of copper foil. I have MANY dusty rods of a light pink color with rubino like streaks running through it. In some places the rod almost looks "peachy"...could this be the infamous Streaky Pink? If so, played with it tonight, and I'm still not so sure I like it.

from my experience the selling point of streaky pink was that it wasnt peachy. much more of a true bubble gum pink. Maybe the stuff youve got isnt streaky pink? The (one and only) rod i have of it has a defined dark pink stripe running down one side of the rod.

It's pink, and most of the rod is bubble-gum-ish, the shades just flow from one to another, almost like flowers vary, and some places are rather light. All of the rods I found do have a well defined dark pink stripe down the side. I think my flame was too hot when I was playing with it, it just kinda washed out on the flower I was making. Anyhow, I dunno...I was just wondering as I cleaned the dust off of it...

sounds like it could be S.P then :) I hope so for your sake. Maybe if you sell it in the year 2010 you could live off the proceeds ;)

I was told streaky pink did not have a number. The way you can recognize this particular pink is because of the destinct dark pink line running along the side of each rod.

It definitely had a number as my rods are tagged from Frantz.

If it is streaky pink - you should have been able to work it in the hothead, as it loves lots of propane to "strike" to darker pink. Initially when worked as a bead (not a spacer) you can see alot of white mixed in with the pink, and if just left that way you will have a pinkish white light colored bead. You must cool bead down and start flashing it in a heavy propane flame to get the darker pink colors to come out. (I still have 1/4 pound of it!)

hey maybe I have some of the imposter?!?!?!?!

Mine goes to a lavender pink... or at least the shorts I was given does...
I have a few rods that are full length and are tagged...
maybe I should try em out to see if they strike different??

Mine's #259! Geez...I have 8 rods of the stuff. Good to learn I need to strike it, I was wondering what all the hoopla was about when I was playing with it. You know, I only paid an average of $3.00 a rod. I'll play with it some more this weekend...thanx for all of the info,

Mine don't have a stripe down them, but Kandice tested it and confirmed it was streaky pink. The rod has blue tinge to it. I work it with the hot head like a do rubino and it strikes quite nicely. Dark Pink has the peachy tinge.
