Ankle Bracelets

What is the typical length of these? Nine inches? Has anyone used their lampwork beads on one? I keep thinking most of the beads I make might be too big for one.

Susie, yes they're 9-10". I've also thought about the same thing (ankle bracelets), and had the same concern (bead size). You'd probably have to make them a tad longer to allow for the bead, though. I haven't tried it, but I hope it works out for ya!

I have made a few from 8 3/4" - 9½" with my beads.

I did use a 1/16th mandrel because its easier for me to make small beads on those.

Another thing I did with the larger beads is I made them where they didn't lay right on the front (where the bone is) but on each side of it. That way they didn't "stick out" and rub right on the bone.

From what I've seen, ankle size on women varies more than wrist size does.
