Hello Everyone.

I am from Western Michigan and just yesterday made my first glass beads! I took a class by a local artist and have not been able to stop since! Yesterday's beads were not very round and today...what a difference! Round (almost) beads!!! LOL =D> I was so excited to find this group and I have so many questions!

My first question is: What typle of gas to use with my Fireworks torch...I am now using a MAPP gas cylinder but those are so expensive I was hoping to use something else that I don't have to change out all the time.. can someone make a suggestion as to what would be the best set up with my Fireworks torch? My hubby is a heating contractor so he can pretty much set up whatever for me with no problem.

Thanks and I look forward to meeting some new friends! :waving:

Welcome to the madness!

I used this torch when I first got started and I remember being told that it might be a good idea to get a new BBQ tank and have that filled with MAPP. I didn't end up going that route, however, because I couldn't find anyone in Sarasota to fill it up. UGH!

I bet hubby could find a source for bulk MAPP for you. I have friends who use it for their hothead torches and it works well for them.

Good luck!

Fireworks, is that the little red plastic coated torch?
If it is, sorry to say...
It does not work on propane at all.

If you want to use propane, go for the HotHead.
If you want to keep the Firework torch, you will have to deal MAPP
