I currently have a lynx and an OGSI-15 and I am starting to feel the limits of my torch. I would like to upgade to either a Phantom or Mirage, but I am unable to get tanked oxygen.
I am currently looking at picking up an OGSI-20 and attaching the 15 to the center fire, and the 20 to the outer fire, but I don't know if that would provide enough oxygen for a Phantom, and almost certainly not enough for a Mirage.
Any ideas? I would like to spend as little as possible, but I suppose that it is still going to be a lot either way...
After the Gathering (I think GTT is going), give them a call. I believe they have tested their torches with OGSI's products and can give you a better idea of what to expect.
Hey Ryan! I run my cheetah on the og-20 and get about 80-85% efficiency. The cheetah is 12 port. I think the outer flame on the phantom is 15 port. So as a number imp you can do the math! ;-) Check the archives as there has been some discussion on this topic. Good luck with your upgrade!

Well that means that the og-20 will only run the phantom outer fire at 65%...
I think I'm just going to have to get a pro-4 or something.

Call Wally and ask him what they think about the OGSIs.

I run a Cheetah on an OG20, I run the OG20 into a 100 litre bottle untill it pumps up to 20lb I then shut this off from the line and run the torch straight from the OG20 at about 80%, I have a line from the 100L tank to a tap on the bench and can feed the stored Oxy into the torch when I need it, this gives me around 5 mins of 100% torch operation, as I work soft glass I only need a minute at this level every now and then.
cheers, Bernard
