I bought some Reichenbach rods from Olympic Color. They have a nice little bundle of reducing colors for a nice price so I thought I'd try them out. Also bought some white, black and clear (lead crystal).
The reduction colors did not come labelled, but there is a list on the website as to what should be there. Huh. Iris black, reducing black, night blue, dk blue, hmmm, really hard to tell apart, hehehe. 108 and 106- hmmm. The lighter colored rod seems to reduce darker, so maybe that is Dark Raku (106).
I pulled stringer to see if that would help to see the colors... I used the stringer on white, and on clear, but not in a real systematic way.
How would I go about doing a real good test- set of test beads- something that is going to help me figure out which is which and what they do?
I know trial and error is a possibility, but I only have one rod of each, and some of those are pretty slim!
thanks,
Julz
