Once I saw a bead that looked tye-dyed, it was so clool. It looked like a reaction from opal yellow and turquoise but I could never reproduce it. There might have been so EDP in there as well. Does anyone kno what I am talking about and if so can you tell me how and post a pic? PULLLLLEEEEZZZZEEEEE?????!!!!!

It may have been on eof Jennifer Geldard's (sp?) beads, at least those are the ones I'm thinking of at the moment. I believe its made with a twisty of opal yellow, copper green, and EDP. The colors react very uniquely together, Corina had something about it on her site a while ago.

I did this bead when Corina first showed it. It's made with a twisty of light turquoise (don't use dark turquoise....I tried it and it was icky) and EDP.
1. Make a base bead of black
2. Lay down a stripe of opal yellow, melt in a bit.
3. Lay down EDP/Turq twisty so it's slightly over lapping the opal yellow.
4. Melt in and watch the colors spread to a tie die look.
I just ran out to make a test bead to be sure these instructions were correct. Fun bead!

I dont know a recipe for soft glass, but for boro any combo of the NS exotics cased in transparent yellow give you a nice tye-dye effect on the surface.

I tried it with a periwinkle base too.....Really pretty! I'll post photos tomorrow.

oooooooo....periwinkle, I didn't try that!!! I tried just the twistie on opal yellow...oh yeah...too cool! Camie, I'll try to take pictures tomorrow "too"...(giggle)

Ok, these are all really cool but not what I was looking for. I wish I had a better way to explain it. Let me see if I can get them to send me a pic of the one I am talking about specifically. Thanks guys.
