Its a fuel/air torch.... Probably uses for weed burning or heating a roofing tar pot or some big broad pattern flame.... Probably not hot enough for BORO and pretty big unfocused flame for soft glass....

i think i saw something like this used by an assistant of Chihuly's on a video...
used to add a little extra heat in certain spots on the huge pieces they were working on...
i would guess that it has a pretty large flame, so no fine work...
done any searches on the prefered type of fuel to use? you could probably used it to keep a large ...whatever your working on... warm all the way around...
loosk to be some fun, in any event

Fuel is probably low pressure propane.... There is (or was) a "Little Bertha" burner ( which looks almost identical) up on E-Bay with regulator that appeared to be for propane...

It's not the kind of thing I'd want to use as a hand torch in the hot shop, probably. Pretty cool though. Here's a link to the User's Manual for the current model:

This is just an absolute hoot. I would have never believed there was an Owners manual. Thank you, I saved and printed it. In the next few days I'll hook it up (outdoors) to my BBQ propane tank and take pictures. That is when it stops raining here in Michigan. If you have any other ideas, serious or humor post them this IS fun. I have wired wheeled to remove the rust. I was thinking of painting it black or silver.
Thanks for the Fun

The references I found mentioned preheating with it for welding.
