View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : What is Copper Green's transparent mate?

I have been using alot alot alot of Copper Green lately. When playing with a new (to me) colour, I like to do what I call "mating", giving the opaque glass a transparent mate (no jokes about daft partners here....nyuk!). This way, when I want to add some depth to a dot or what not, I can put on the opaque, melt in, cover in its lovely transparent mate and add lovely depth, gorgeous depth. Or maybe I want to do some plunged dots and cover in the corresponding trans, great!

Well, not great, because none of my transparents look right over copper green, sans clear (durrrrr). Either the green is too emerald, it is too grassy, it is too yellow, etc, ad infinitum. Anyhow, can anyone recommend a nice transparent copper green companion? A sage-sort of trans green?

Help me!

Maybe you can make the color you want. Here are 2 links to sites that have info on color mixing:

Drew Fritts (http://frittsartglass.com/marbles/techniques/Colorchart.html)
Kay Powell (http://www.listen-up.org/kitty/beads/mix%20chart/color%20chart.htm)

I think I may have to, I've tried nearly all the trans greens I can find, and am still not terribly happy. I havent' really dug into Lauscha or Vetrofond's greens, I might have to....

Thanks for the links Chris, I'm going to check them out!

Okay, all these great suggestions, I'm going to have to do a glass order this week! Thanks guys! And photos to illustrate the points, great! I appreciate it. I'll get back to you all and let you know which one has worked out the best for my purposes.
