Which is easier to use

Which is easier to use...medium or Fine silver mesh (for a beginner...control wise ).

I would think the medium mesh would be easier than the fine for a beginner. I have never used mesh. If it is compared to the foil and leaf the foil is much easier to manage because it is thick and does not disintergrate in your fingers when you pick it up. Good Luck. Where do you buy the mesh? Sounds like something I would like to try.

I like the medium. It is easy to burn up so heat slow.

Thanks guys. Thats what I thought aswell. I have never used mesh or silver wire but got asked this question by someone who makes beads ( shes pretty new to it )and wants to know more about mesh....and I didnt have an answer. I guessed with medium.

Oh and is the "Fine" the same as "Micro" ?

I really think it depends on what kind of effect you want. I use the fine.
It is really fairly sturdy - much more so than any thickness of foil.
I like getting a fine starry effect and even with the fine once it is attached it is hard to burn off so I imagine it would even be harder with the medium mesh.

If you want more spacing between the silver then try the medium.

The largest bead in the black set is 35mm point to point and 23mm wide. The other black beads are all 23 by 15. I need to make another set of these my daughter wants a necklace of these to go with her homecoming dress!

The purple bead is about an inch from hole-to-hole. The heart is about an inch long.
