OK, I'm sure this is basic but I am trying to make sense of all my new equipment as I just ordered my first torch and everything to go with it. My question is regarding the connection of the torch to the hoses. The hoses I received have a connection piece that screws on another end (male/female). The ends of my Lynx torch just have tips (see link below). I'm not sure if I am suppose to cut the two ends of the hose off and clamp the hoses on the end of the torch or if I am missing a piece all together.

Any help would be appreciated as the store I purchased from is closed.
Thanks and have a great weekend!

Your hoses have two ends with the fittings, right? If so,Yes, you will cut one of those ends off and connect them over the tips and use hose clamps to clamp them on. Then the other ends connect to your regulators for your tanks. It can be a bit confusing once you get all your equipment and seeing it all gets overwhelming wanting to make sure you have everything connected right. Also, I am not sure if you have been told, but do not use any kind of teflon for your threads, you don't need it. You might check out the safety section, there are tons of helpful stuff in there an setting everything up. Good luck and happy torching!!

Excellent. Thanks so much! I have been reading the safety points to make sure I don't make any rookie mistakes. I certainly don't want to start off on the wrong foot.
I have the arrestor for my gas line since I'm using an oxygen concentrator ( I don't have one for that). At which point along the line do I connect the arrestor? Do I connect it right up against the regulator?
Cheers!

I always have my arrestor connected to the end by my regulator.
Boy, it's too bad you didn;t have your ends already clamped. Clamp them as best as you can. Propane leaking would suck.
I took the arrrestor off nand got more pressure from my oxy generator, so you're in good company. :-)
Good luck!

Should the ends have been already clamped? Would they have clamped a hose prior to shipping? Anyone have any advice when clamping the hoses to my to my torch?
