I'm currently working on a Minor. I have a 5lpm oxycon. I don't have room for another one (to link them together), and I don't currently have the cash to upgrade to an M-15. I DO have an oxygen tank though.
I want to use the oxycon when working soft glass, then move to use the tanked O2 when I want to work boro. The "nipple" (or whatever you call that thingy on the oxycon that the hose screws onto) on the oxycon is plastic. So I know that if I continutally connect/disconnect the hose to the oxycon that it's going to eventually just break.
And I've done some serious damage to myself trying to get the hoses disconeccted at the torch. So that isn't really a good alternative either.
I've heard of quick disconnects, but I'm not sure how appropriate they are for an oxycon. Would they work?
