anybody got one andknowhow they work? I am an oppertunity to buy one new for 200.00 and am wondering how it would work on a minor to help me save some oxy money :)
The only thing I see to be concerned about is that the purity is stated at "greater than or equal to 90% in the manual. I seem to recall that above 93% was best.

Most of the time, when you see that 93% figure, it has "+/-3%" behind it. That is just another way of saying > or = 90%. Anything over 90% is acceptable for general lampworking. The reason they add that +/-3% margin is because that is the margin of error for the guages that read oxygen purity.
It looks like it puts out about 6 to 6.5 psi. That's not bad for a Minor. The Minor does do better on 8 psi, but I know of several people who are fine with 6 psi or so for soft glass bead making.
