Wow, what a great personality and fun teacher. The way she moves and lays the dicro. I am learning so much. Besides the Dicro, Pat had Phisyco and a new ribbon aventurine... WOW I can not wait to get more, what a fabulous new toy to play with hot glass with! I will post the beads Sunday night from day 1!
Patty, thank you so much for coming to Eugene! You are not only a kick and fun to hang out with your comments and teachings are a treasure. Thank You.
Cheers

Look at that smile, Patty you are wonderful. I so had a great time.

Here is Marge at one end of a massive rock of aventurine (one of my favorites) being pulled into a stringer. Patty pulled this rock in to at least 25 feet of stringer, she was out the door in the other room.

Love them. Wish we all could have come to the class. That looks cool for a Studio. Will have to keep her for a future instructor.

I had to share this photo, see the Dichroic strip hanging from Pat's bead... YEP it is at least 1 inch wide! Now check out the aventurine rocks sitting on that hot pad. What control for big glass, thanks for the lesson Pat!!!

Here is my version of what Pat was teaching.

http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a352/Sailthee/DSC00198.jpg

I did not do well with the off mandrel Pendant... but I can hear Pat's advice in my mind when I look at all the bad things I did. I will have to practice this.

I had to play with my style just to see how the dichroic blends with florals.
Thanks for looking. If you get a chance to take a class from Pat Frantz it was a lot of fun.

Hi Nancy! I'm glad you had a great time! I see you're in Eugene, me too! I know another LE'er who has a booth at the U of O Street Fair this week, you should stop by and say hi to Michelle with Beyond The Bead. I have a studio on Blair,so you can catch me a the last friday artwalk.

Sure! It's organized by this very sweet couple, here's the website:

http://www.arttrekinc.com/lastfridayartwalk/

There are about 20-25 studios on the artwalk, from 6-9pm the last friday of every month. They are concentrated in the Whitaker area, but there are a few showings downtown and other parts of eugene. Mostly you can walk between them though.

If you check out the website, they put out a map and list who is participating each month.
