I'm ready to scream after what I pulled out of the kiln this morning! I made a bunch (25!) of Red beads yesterday solid red 6 or 7 mm round I've used tons of that colour glass before, no problemo... but these ones have all turned the colour apples turn when they get frozen, the beads still have bits of the bright red but they glow this pukey brown! ... hope it's just a single alien rod, doubt the colour would show in a scan.
I diidn't have any metals or anything in the kiln either....
Any brilliant ideas on what went wrong I know they didn't get too hot.... Of course they were part of an order so now have to find red glass that stays red for 50 little beads.... I have about 3 more pounds of this stuff!
