seems my torch (minor) needs to be cleaned, but i can't find the cleaning tool that came with it... does anyone know of any other way to clean it, or where i can get another cleaning thingie?
has anyone had any torch problems other than buildup on the torch face, because they didn't clean their torch often enough?
thanks!!!
I just got one myself from Arrow Springs. I had my husband go in the other day to exchange oxygen tanks and I had him ask for the cleaning tool for my Minor...they just gave it to him..no charge!
I tried to find something else that would work also but nothing would. Give them a call 1(800) 899-0689. They should be able to send you one :)

I just realized you were in Israel. I don't know if Arrow Springs ships worldwide or not (I assume they do). I would still give it a try...maybe try their website. But there should be somewhere there where you live that should have that cleaning tool. Good luck! :)

If there is a welding supply place near you, you can get a torch cleaning set there. They are just small wires and one should fit your torch. I have the O2 on at a lower pressure when I clean mine so it's blow out any thing that may be inside.
Hi Meital! A piece of skinny wire will do it, and I use wire sold to make french beaded flowers, it is about as skinny as an earring wire. I'll look at the package for more info when I get home, but any wire that will fit in the ports should work, you are just reaming out the dirt. I hope you are well, I'm glad you are up and torching again! Jeri

guitar string is less likely to brake off in your torch than any other wire.

thanks everyone! i'll look for some wire on sunday! :-)
jeri- i borrowed a tank of oxygen (guess who had a spare tank of oxy to lend, hehe...), so now i'm getting used to the different flame- it's great, but i do feel some differences that need some amount of practice to get used to, so that i don't burn the glass etc...
lol- i dreamed about you and neil the other day!!! i was next to my work bench, and suddenly a teeeeeeny tiiiiiiny blue bethlehem torch was there (it was TINY in the dream, smaller than my cell phone...), and there were people there, and i asked them where the torch had come from, and they said- "didn't jeri and neil leave it there earlier?" hehe, that was a funny dream :lol::lol::lol::lol:
...well if we can't visit in real life we can visit in dreams...its better than nothing! Get going on those beads. jeri
