How can I make turquoise look real? What can I use to give the "veins" in real turquoise? Frit? Gold Adventurine?

Any suggestions for me and maybe a picture?

Thanks SO much!

Ok, not a pro here, but if you put some white enamel powder on the base of turquoise, and then burn copper leaf in (and I mean burn the CRAP out of it) you get some neat real-turquoise effects. I have also swirled in some intense black and heated it up well (so the black webs) and that looks pretty vein-y.

Be really careful with enamel and the copper leaf - they need really proper ventilation and a mask

No pro either...but I too do the intense black web thing. I also use the factory pulled goldstone stringers, the ones with practically no glitter, and swirl it around first. TO ME, it seems to make the intense black behave a smidge differently, almost acting like an insufficient barracade, but a barracade nonetheless.

I use tiny threads of intense black then cook 'em till the webbing juuust starts. You don't want to overdo it, you just want the trails to crawl a little bit.

what about that frit that Val Cox carries...I think it's clear but would add to the veining of the turquoise maybe? I've never tried it but for some reason that came to mind.
