I have ordered some of this glass and I am waiting for it to arrive. Upon further reading about it on this site I am starting to wonder about it? Does it still have encasement issues? All the posts about the cracking issues etc were from 2005. Has this improved at all? I really like the colors so I really want to mix them with the other pretty colors.[-o< Please tell me they fixed the issues. Thank you so much for your time!

I think you will be very pleased with the ASK glass. I think the only color that has issues with encasing is the dark purple (violet nights?) but it warns on the label not to encase. I'm very encasing impaired so I don't encase much and can't give any insight into all of the colors, but I have mixed this glass with other 104 glass as well as enamels and frit and have not had a problem with cracks or compatibility. I've only been lampworking for a year, so my knowledge isn't as vast as others, but that's the experience I've had with this glass.

I mix my ASK glass with other 104 glass with no problems, however I don't encase very often, and when I do it's only with the R4 diamond clear.

I've had no probs with this glass at all..and I use it frequently...and with other 104 glasss too. I don't encase much so I don't know much about that...but I can tell you that when I stopped into Arrow Springs awhile back to get some of this glass the girl there told me that she encased Violet Nights and had no problem....but again, I've never tried it.

The colors are gorgeous! :) Good luck...Anne

I've never had any problems. I've been mixing my DH with ASK, and encasing with Lausha clear. You should check out Hectors blog, he does some amazing things with ASK
