If so, are you pleased with their services?

I'm about to open an account with them but thought I'd first ask for opinions.

Thanks,
Kathy

I use it and I'm happy with it.

I use it and am moderately happy with it. Just make sure you do your homework and know how the program works. When I first signed up, I did it just a few days before an art show, which was a bad move - I'm usually in a crazed state doing last minute things. I didn't spend enough time understanding how the program works. I didn't even know how the charge would appear on the customer's CC statement (your email address). Duh! Anyway - I had one person do a chargeback because they didn't recognize my email address. If there is a chargeback, ProPay will take the sale amount plus a $15 fee out of your banking account while the chargeback is in dispute. In my case, it took at least 2 months to get the thing cleared up, and I was still out of the $15 fee. Since that experience, I've made sure my customers know how the charge will show up on their statement, and I haven't had any additional chargebacks. (knock on wood).

On the positive side, having the ability to accept CC's really increased my sales, so despite the extra hassle, I would say it's worth it.

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Is there a minimum transaction per month (or any other time period)? I mean do you have to make a certain number of transactions in any given amount of time? I've checked out their website and it seems pretty simple to get set up and use. I'm just leary of fine print I guess or hidden charges.

No, there isn't a minimum. There is however, a maximum, the amount of which depends on which account you have. I have the premium account which costs $59.95/year. The maximum charge amount for a transaction is $500. But, you are not prohibited in breaking a large charge order over $500 into smaller charges. The maximum dollar amount of charges I can process in 1 month is $3,000. If you think you are going to go over that amount, I think you can upgrade to an account that allows you to process more.
