is having a Thai Hill Tribe Silver Trunk Show.
Saturday 10-6 and Sunday 1-5
These tribes of namadic peoples from Burma been settled into the hill country of
Thailand for several generations, and the Karen tribe has a distinctive style to
each clan. Their way of life and these traditions in ancient silversmithing
techniques were threatened recently by the persuation of quick money from
growing poppy for heroin production. However, this vendor has been working hard
to keep the Karen tribe into silver and out of heroin, which we don't need any
more of in the US or anywhere. So, if you are close enough to drop by, come in
and browse these beautiful ancient wonders that are here for a very reasonable
price. And, supporting these people is good for their way of life and the world
at large.
