Gonna call a plumber today about continuing my gas line to my work area. What kind of termination do I need to tell him when the subject comes up? I am pretty sure I don't need a regulator anymore. Do I just connect the hose to the end and there is an on/off lever or something? Just want to be prepared for the questions the plumber is going to ask.
Thanks a bunch,
Jules

You need a approved "gas shut off" valve...

Then you need to adapt outlet of gas shut off valve to either a barbed connector and push hose on and clamp it. Or if you prefer, get a 1/4 inch pipe thread type "B" welding hose adapter at welding supply store and have him put that after valve, that way you can use "B" connector that comes on hose end. "B" type connector must be left-hand thread type to connect up to fuel hose.

Moving this to the tech area so it doesn't get lost in the family room.
Thanks Dale for the great information so quickly.
