leak detection solution?

What would be an approved leak detection solution to use setting up the regulators/torch? Anything I can find around the house? Or do I need to get something special?

Just did a bit of reading and "soap" was listed, ordinarily I would think this appropiate, but was concerned about using this on the oxygen connection...

I think a welding supply or commercial safety supplier would have a oxygen safe leak detection fluid. A few phone calls might locate some.

I got my bottle of leak detector fluid at Home Depot. It took them a while to find it, but they had it. I bought it a while ago, but I think it was by the plumbing supplies.

I have used the solution from Home Depot for a couple of years - it works great and lasts a long time.

I use liquid Ivory soap with water in a cup with a little paint brush. That's what my oxygen guys told me to do. Works great, and it's cheap. If you do use soap, make sure there's no oil in it. a no no for oxygen.

I make my own using bubble blowng solution and water. I mix water and bubble blowing solution 50/50 and put it into a gardening sprayer with a stream nozzle. Just squirt it on the connection.
