View Full Interactive Version Of This Page : Enamels and reduction frit safety
I haven't worked much with enamel or reduction frit. I think the warning labels scared me off. What exactly should be done to remain safe while using these products? Is a good ventilation system enough, or do you need additional protection? Where does the risk come from with these products?
Thanks,
Lenora

You need *EXCELLENT* ventilation *AND* an N100 dust mask at all times when using enamels and/or frit (of any kind).
The risk is inhalation of extremely fine glass particles. These particles can remain airborne for quite some time because they are so small.
