i know one of the great ones here probably can help me...i have a custom order for pink tulips encased in a bead. i have tried and tried to get a tulip effect to no avail. im about to pull my hair out. i have to have this done by friday morning!! eeeeek!!!!
any help is very very much appreciated.

Not sure how fast anyone can help you...here's a link on making Lily Beads; it might just give you enough guidance and information to aim you in he right direction, though!

I've been puzzling over this one too, as I've had requests for tulip beads but tulips are such a different, deeper shape than my usual encased florals. The best solution I could think of would be making a clear cane with 2 layers of flat red stripes on the outside and maybe black stamen lines in the centre. Plunge that carefully into a clear-encased-over-green bead...

hmm thats a thought. gonna give that a whirl too. luckily, the lady called me and asked me if i would mind holding the order for a week. i said "of course not." whewww! lol! lucky meeeee
How did your tulips ever turn out? I hope you took a photo?

should have pics up tomorrow. i think they look nice but thats just my opinion. lol
i made canes and plunged at an angle into the flower to create depth between the back petals and front petals. just got back from Frantz glass so i might redo them...got some lovely colors!!!!
