I'm trying to organize my glass. It's amazing how much has accumulated in piles, boxes, nooks and crannies for years.
I found about a half pound of an opaque white labeled 791907, so I'm assuming its a Vetrofond odd lot. The rods are a little rough. I did a bit of searching, but can't find any references to it. Anyone know what it is?
I wonder if it's the pale ivory that I have a bunch of. It's almost white and it's rough on the outside. It reacts with turquoise and silver colors, but not as much a light ivory.

I bought an odd white from The Mandrel this summer that's rough, but it's labeled 205. I've only used it by itself, so don't know how it reacts. I did find a reference to 907 at http://www.nlmglassarts.com/vetro.php .
ETA: A search for "dirty white" found this thread from 2004:

Dirty white. Now that I read that, I seem to remember that name, so I'm sure that's it. Thank you!

Your glass is labeled? :-s
Dang, this was before my odd lot buying time. I would love some of that olive in the wc thread....

Your glass is labeled? :-s
heh. :-P Certainly not by me! But, trying to figure out what all the stray glass around here is has prompted me to start. I'm not marking everything, but if I have something that I can't automatically recognize, then it's getting a label. We'll just see if I can keep it up.
And, I didn't think it was possible... but I actually might have too much glass. 8)
The most I've done is to paint the toenails of the different coes.
Good luck on the upkeep :D
What are you using as labels? I hate when mine have tape on them. It's such a sticky mess on the nub.
Too much glass??

Hey Holly, I use that blue painters tape and after over two years, in a hot bead room, next and under my kiln, still no sticky mess (yet, hehe).

I think it might be a "Texas" thing.
I've had tape and rubber bands go bad so fast. Maybe be the humidity?
Getting an old sticky rubber band off glass rods is almost just as bad :(
