I want to replace my kiln door with a new one that has a bead door.
Do I have to use stainless steel?
I'm imagining the difficulty of cutting and drilling stainless so I'd like to use something else if possible.
The body of my kiln is .75 mil stainless.

you dont have to use stainless,a piece of sheet metal will work fine as long as its not on the inside anywhere..

Thanks for your speedy response Mike!
This is good news because it makes it so much easier for me. :)

So, does this mean you might actually be making a bead sometime soon? 8)

HA! I just made two big fancy beads this week.
I'd show you but I sold them already :)
I'm slowly getting back in the groove!
