I am just starting out and I would like to know what is good to use for etching. I use moretti glass only at this time. I love the look of the etched beads I have seen. I appreciate any info.
Thanks,
Sharon

Hi Sharon! There are a couple of things you can use! There is a paste and a liquid! I have only used the paste. You just dip the bead and let it sit for about 10 minutes. It really looks neat! I use Armour Etch. You can get it at Michael's and Hobby Lobby. But I know they have it on Ebay as well! Good luck!

I use the liquid Etchall. I hang the beads on a wire or a piece of string with a small bead inbetween - like a 6/0 seed bead. Then I hang them right in the bottle of acid. If you use a wire you can just loop it over the side. The mettle is not effected by the acid. If you use a thread you have to suspend it from something.5 minutes and they are done!

Thank you very much. I think they look great and have been wanting to give it a try. I have used Etchall on regular glass but wanted to know for sure before using it on beads.
