Hi everyone, I need to purchase some silver foil and I have found a heavier weight 9X9 inch and a booklet of what was said to be silver foil but looked like thin silver leaf.

Which do you like best with frits and where have you found the best prices?

I found the heavy foil for $7.00 and $8.00 a sheet. Does one sheet last awhile? Also I have heard to use foil and not leaf?

Thanks in advance for any help. I need to start testing my frit blends and I want a few silver foil/leaf??? test beads for each blend.
Thank-you
Lorraine

Leaf burns up to almost nothing, that's why you need the foil. I have some of the leaf, that's what they sell at OCR and I have not really used it with frit. I used it with some enamels and River Rock and it worked great, but that's about it. I think you want the regular foil which will cost around $14 for a book of 25 sheets.

Thanks Kevan...That is what I thought and thankyou for the silver leaf info as I have plenty of that on hand from other craft endeavors.

Try Howaco, that's where I get mine. I use foil, not leaf.
