Hello! I am very happy to finally make an account here.
My name is Molly and I am behind www.thebeadle.com.

The Beadle is a modular bead holder, you may have seen it in the Oct/Nov issue of Beadwork. It is the most versatile and least expensive of the 20 or so they reviewed.

I have a huge vision for The Beadle web site and concept. I want to introduce people to the concept of being able to change your beads at will. On The Beadle not only can you change beads, but since it is modular you can also change the length (1/2", 5/8", 1", 1.5" and 2") you can also use 1 of 10 end beads to compliment your selection. I also want to have bead makers listed and a monthly (or weekly) artist of the week who sells a specific bead on the site. I'd love to help make lampworked beads become something that people who don't know they love beads yet, discover the fantastic little pieces of solid, concentrated art that they are.

Right now I am focusing on wholesale and a little retail through the web site, but I'd also like to put together kits to sell to boutiques.

I think The Beadle is good for all bead makers because it gives your customers something to wear your beads on without committing the beads to certain designs, and potential repeat business. I give my mom beads now for all gift giving occasions, because she has too much of everything else. I have a big box of beads I go through to figure out which ones I show off every day.

About me... I am 30, mother of an almost 3yo boy, married for 10 years, deliriously happy in the Pacific Northwest. I love almost all things glass. I listened to that inner high school guidance counselor and decided to do what I love and this is why I'm doing thebeadle.com. I want to forge friendships with people and have mutually beneficial relationships when it comes to our respective talents/offered items.

Thanks for reading! I'm glad to be here. -M

Hi Molly,
I love the beadle - especially the optional conical shaped end cap that can be put on the threaded end of the beadle. Can't wait to give beadle pendant necklaces to my girlfriends as gifts this year. Good luck with your business.

The web site doesn't work, I gave up this dream on account of the lack of interest/support. Funny how it took 3 years to come around! I have a ton of product, I'd still love to do this and explore the full idea but you know how it goes, gotta draw a line somewhere.

If I had quit because I felt lack of support coming from the internet I would have quit a long time ago... Especially if people don't "know" you... You just have to perservere, post a lot, show lots of pics, and have a sale :) Let people figure out who you are, eventually things will pick up. I'd love to see pics, I'm always looking for new a way to display my beads...

Lack of support coming at you frm home is a different story.
