hi guys,
planning and organising for our classes in murano is now reaching the fun part - trying to squeeze more classes in and have the maximum of fun for everyone..
we have Sarah Hornik, Dora Schubert and Pati Walton aiming to REALLY have a good time in our studio space on Murano, and so far we have visitors booked from Siberia to Melbourne to Florida to Sweden - and all points in between!..
i know that quite a few of you guys will be there already with Mike - so please drop on by and say hi if you can, we hope to get a HUGE gathering of flame workers all having a great time and sharing ideas in the heart of glass working in Europe..
i have a blog running on http://www.muranomagic.eu for those who want to follow the build up, and we will be running a webcam in the studio so everyone can surf on in and check it out...
as the classes fill up we are also hosting a few "events" in between the formal classes - Diana east is going to come on down from the uk and run some glass bead casting classes and also some enameling demonstrations.. we are also going to run classes from mid march with alessia fatone from Tuscany in the studio - just to warm up the studio for us!..
the vetrofond factory has given us excellent support and we will be organising some factory visits for those folks who would like to get the inside view of how some fabulous glass objects are created - imagine a hot factory packed full of sweaty muscular italian glass masters throwing blobs of molten glass around and you'll get the idea!..:lol::lol: it'll be a lot of fun - camera's NOT allowed!! =;
although this is a long way to come, we promise to make it worth your while - and being based on murano it gives the DH and kids etc something to do while you hang out with all the other fellow glass loons who are already coming!... its going to be a BLAST!!
