Hi everyone
just thought I would ask all you experts.
I am upgrading from my HH and trying to decide between these two torches....
I mainly do beads and at this time dont see myself wanting to do larger items or boro....
Thanks!

Check your propane settings! Mine gets hot if it's too high. The Mini is designed to work with very low pressure - 2 to 3 psi.

If you're smelling gas, stop working!!!!! Check all fittings and hoses for leaks. That's nothing to mess with!!!

maybe you should send it back to carlisle, that shouldn't happen. they're super nice at carlisle, they'll take care of you.

the mini cc rules. i can't wait to step up to a hellcat.. it has a mini center fire and a big outer fire. mmmmm...

Hi Carmen,
The knobs would only get hot if there wasn't enough pressure in the torch.
The smell of gas could be a leak. First check your hoses.
Laura We had 10 Mini's at the studio and they are very versatile.

If I can ever afford it, I'll be getting a Mini CC. I don't see that happening too soon though... good thing I  my HH.

i have two mini cc's and i love them! i have two stations! I would hold out for this torch because even though i did not want to do boro (having too much to learn with soft glass, lol), i would love to do it sometime, i am interested in it!

another thing to keep in mind is that it comes with a dvd showing you all the flame types etc.. it has a bushy all the way down to a tiny flame (stringer) and this is a informative dvd how to use this torch, a real bonus in my opinion.

i have also dealt with carlisle and they are sooooo super sweet there, a nice thing to have a good relationship with the torch people, i think torches are prolly in out future forever!!! ha ha

Love my mini cc also. I'm a total newb and have never had any problem setting it up and running it. I run it on natural gas and an oxy-con and it is so sweet with no tanks and no bills for the tanks. I was going to get a hot head but the mapp gas was sooo expensive.

Enjoy whatever you go with,
Alison

P.S. no problem with hot knobs here and I am probably running it a little O2 deprived.
