I am really wanting to learn some really cool texture and surface decoration techniques using boro frit and powder.I know that I can experiment, but nothing beats an expert/teacher.

Does anyone know of a workshop dedicated to this? I really don't care where it is or what time of the year-- I'd just love to learn!

Thanks!

Sue

I don't know of any class dedicated just to surface techniques. It would be hard to make a whole class out of that. I teach surface techniques as part of my marbles class and my beyond beads class, though. I teach those classes here every couple of months, and I'm teaching at Hale Fire Glass in Alabama in May and at the Carlisle School of Glass Art in September.

If you could ever get into a class with Robert Mickelsen, Milon Townsend, Shane Fero...
you would be very lucky..I'm not sure of any up coming classes but they are known for serious skills and experience when it comes to frits and powders..

Thanks!

I'm going to check Mickelson's web site for classes since I'm in Fla anyway.

If you ever hear of anything please let me know or post it somewhere.
