I have both a Cheetah and Lynx which come with those little wire port cleaners. Can someone tell me exactly where this wire should be inserted on each port? I assumed it should be right in the very middle but the wire doesn't seem to fit. It does fit in the very outside ring of each. I want to give them a good cleaning but not do any damage in the process.
Thanks in advance for any help.

It goes right in the center hole, not in the crescent moon areas. I find it helps if I do it when the torch is blowing oxygen.

Jen, Your brilliant ! And yes it goes in the center hole. But I have never been able to get it in until I tried Jen's trick of turning the oxygen on ( Wow! that made it easy ).
Also if your eye sight is like mine you may need a magnifying glass or jewelry loop to help you find the mark.

on a more serious note where does one get the brushes ?
So far all I do is to use a metal brush to get rid of carbon or glass build up while I torch.

You can pick up the stainless steel brush at Home Depot, go to the Dremmel supplies.

Jen, thanks for this info. Like Scott, I wasn't too successful at inserting the cleaning wire into the circles. So I thought that was the wrong place and didn't want to do any damage poking all around. I'll try the oxygen trick.
I have never cleaned my Lynx, ie: inserted the wire into the ports. I have brushed across the face with the brush, but it does not look dirty, doesn't act like it is dirty, and truthfully, I'm scared of the wire. It is so thin. I should add that the torch is not a year old yet, about 9 months. Should I clean it anyway, even if it doesn't look dirty?

FWIW I clean my Lynx after each torching session. I thought that poking a wire into the holes would just push gunk (or whatever it is that we are cleaning) back into where I wanted to get it out of. So I started cleaning it with the O2 running - thinking if I loosen up something the O2 would blow it out.
