I recently asked the same question. Here is the link to the replies. They were very helpful, however, I still haven't perfected them yet. PPP

This was the poinsetta I just came up with...it was really super easy to do...
1)I basically made 6 dots of red in flower formation, then gave each flower a slit with my razor tool and topped with a transparent color.
2) Melt the dots in and give a small poke in the center with your poker (this brings the petals to a point in the center). Rake the outer edges of the petals to bring to a point. It looks better if you put the poker in right next to the edge of the petal and give it a little tug.
3) Melt until the points come out and the center is no longer indented. Heat center and poke with a thick ( just a bit smaller than premade stringers) stamen cane. My stamen cane is made with yellow filigrana.
4)Break of stamen cane and put a tiny dab of clear to seal. Encase and enjoy!
Bumping this up for Kelly.
