Skull bead tutorial?

I have a friend who is very much into the whole skull thing and I wanted to see if I could make her some "skull and bone" beads for her b-day.

And rightly so! Thanks for being such a good sport about it! We love your Skullies!!! Of course, we respect that these have become some what a "signature" of yours, so you don't (necessarily :)) have to reveal everything :hide: (yes, I'm ducking everyone who is throwing hot glass at me right now!!!) - but tips and suggestions would be wonderful! Sort of like showing cleavage instead of just wearing a see-thru top! Ha.....(pun intended, missy!)

My DS would love me to make him one...and when I tell him the tut came from Michelle aka "boobie beads".....he IS gonna love this for sure! :lol:

Not really a tut but I make mine as follows:

I make a figure 8 bead, either a barrel with wraps around it or two round beads on top of each other.
Then I make the first one wider. sort of a lumpy pear shape... I don't know how else to describe it.

I flatten it, then I square off the jaw.
Add eye sockets using a large mandrel, a small triangle for the nose and teeth +++

Here's a crappy photo, but you get the idea.

I saw this thread and got so excited. I have been dreaming about bird skull beads for 3 months now. I think I have figured out how to do it but keep avoiding just doing it!!! I will practice today. I haven't seen Michelles Boobs I mean beads yet (am new) Can't wait.
