Looking for a clam TUT?

Okay I am playing with ocean stuff and I can't find a good clam tut?//
Anyone know of one....

OK - I've made clams!!! Here's a Pic:

If you've done hollows, this might be a bit easier to you; if not, you'll catch on quick!:

1. Using Lt. Ivory, wind a small donut on your mandrel of choice;
2. Using Lt. Ivory again, wind another small donut about 1/4" to 1/2" further down the mandrel, depending on how large of a clam you want to end up with;
3. Continue winding like you are making "disc" shapes, first on one donut, then the other;
4. Be sure to bathe each of the "disc" shapes in the flame so neither chills too much;
5. After about 4-6 winds, heat the edges of the discs, concentrating on one side only;
6. Use your marver to nudge these heated ends of the discs toward one another, first one, then the other;
7. When the edges begin to join, work the edges together just enough to shape the "back" side of the clam - leave the front side "open" to form the mouth;
8. Using tweezers or brass tool, heat the "lips" and add little touches to help the open end resemble a "mouth";
9. Using the tweezers again, heat the back joint and pinch here and there to ruffle the edge a bit;
10. Using your "eye" color or choice, add two dots where the eyes will be and carefully melt them about 1/2 way in;
11. Add "pupils" using tiny dots of black, melt in, and viola, CLAM!!!!

I LOVE your Clam Shells!!!! I seem to lean toward the animated and silly~(what's my age again?)...yours are elegant and sophisticated! I'm sure both would have their time and place...

For a gal who adores diamonds, platinum and pearls, I really don't understand my compulsion to put eyes on practically everything I make :rolleyes: just a bit of a nut, I guess! Thanks for posting your's, too - variety is the name of the game!
