What the heck...made one bead and it cracked along the black and buttermint seam, so I thought maybe I heated it uneven....Tried again and same thing...crack goes along the whole black and mint seam...Anyone else have problems w/ the CIM buttermint color and compatibility issues...very frustrating when they are suppose to be compatible...Any suggestions on how to use up the rest of the mint??? Or if this is a compatibilty issue...thanks for the help...Laurie

Laurie,
Buttermint is Messy 96 what glass did you use for the black? Cause Messy 96 doesn't have any black.
If you used th ebuttermint ( coe 96 ) with coe 104 glass, than thats the problem.

That would be the problem then because I used moretti but I also used the buttermint w/ moretti ivory and silver w/ no problems but maybe because it's softer...thanks for the help...mucho appreciated

The Messy 96 colors will often work with a small amount of 104 (think frit, only reversed) - but you are taking a chance each time you mix them. That looks like it was simply too much black glass. It's a beautiful look though - add some 96 black to your glass shelf and try again!

so CIM Buttermint is only offered in 96 coe and not their 104 line?

correct - Buttermint is only a Messy 96 glass, not a CiM 104 glass
