Trouble with disc beads-help?

I am trying to learn how to make disc beads and I keep having trouble with a little bump when I complete one round- then the whole thing is off and I just can't seem to get it to be a nice round disc. I am trying to do the rounds in different colors. I would appreciate some ideas/or is there a tutorial?

the best advice I can try to give is to keep spinning the disc as you are burning off the rod so it burns off in a thin trail and not a bump. I pull the rod kind of towards me while spinning the disc away from me.

that makes sense- will try it - I think I am trying to flame cut it instead of pulling the rod away as I turn the disc- thanks!
