This bead is absolutely amazing and I was just wondering how you get this "bumpy" effect or "bubbly" effect (on the right side of the bead)?

It looks like the glass was "squished" through a sive (sp?) It's really cool and I have no idea how this is done! Any tips or tutorials on this would be absolutely great! Thanks in advance! LE Rocks!
It's an implosion - I see to recall seeing a thread about it.

This technique is called "implosion".
There was a tutorial on implosions posted at some point, but that's most probably already 2 years ago and I am not sure if we can still search for such old postings?
Ah, I found it. Have a look here:

Found another one (that's a marbel though, but it has great photos):

Is it or is it copper mesh?
I think it is imploded through mesh isn't it?

OK - We're all dying to know...
For starters, see this thread, Post #27 for a great example, and then check Post #46 and #49...:

It would appear that Sherry has a great knowledge of this technique; she advises she will be teaching it at Glass Stock (lucky class dogs!). She also indicates that she is writing a tutorial for a glass magazine (name not revealed yet) and that she'll keep us posted of when it will be published.
I recommend adding a "Subscription" to that thread so you can check it periodically.
I'm with you - waiting for answers, a paid Tutorial, a published Tutorial - SOMETHING!!!! :)

Thanks to all! I haven't even begun to try using any mesh! I am barely able to encase decently. I just love that effect and someday, maybe I can be half that good! Again, LE Rocks! Thank Sherry! I wish I lived near some of these cool "gatherings" so that I could take a class! I was hoping to take one at Bead and Button, but my finances just won't allow me this year! Maybe next year!

Only 4 more sleeps until I am in Sherry's class in Red Deer!!!! Then this technique will no longer be a mystery to me! Can't wait to learn from you Sherry!
