Chevron beads???

Does anyone know how to make traditional Venetian chevron beads?

Also, what equipment do I need to do the cold work? Can I use a dremel or do I need to invest in (find others that have it :-$ ) specific equipment?

Referral to an appropriate books would be great.

I know they are time consuming, but I want to try them at some point in the future.
