I talked to our local "tanked" gas supplier yesterday, Roberts Oxygen, and they talked about 30 lb. canisters of propylene. $65 initial deposit on the tank, and then $60 for a 30 lb fill up. They also said something about a $15 per month (or $60 per year, I think) rental fee...
I know this discussion has been had by others, but now it's our turn.
What are your thoughts? We are still using a fireworks torch... does anyone know if the HH hoses and adapters work with the fireworks torch?
Thanks
David and Margie

when i bought mine last year, it was $65 for the tank, and was going to be around $45 for a refill, but the $65 was to buy the tank itself...
make sure you shop around to all the gas suppliers in your area, if possible...

i've been waitting for my 25pd tank to arrive..I'm picking it up tomorrow so i'll let ya know what i find out..
I have a 6 or 7lb Propylene tank. It last me a long time. I think I switch it out once every month or so. I put a deposit down on the tank, and only pay the fill price when I re-fill. If I ever need to return the tank for good (as in upgrade or whatever) I get my deposit back. I think it was like 80 for the deposit, but it could have been less, and I pay about 30bucks when I get it filled/swapped out. (i don't work about the swap outs because all their tanks are inspected and filled onsite, the only problem I have ever had, is an overfilled tank in the winter. (the whole expantion/contraction of gasses) I had to pack it on ice to get it home without leaking. it was funny, kindda.. me driving in winter with all my windows down, bundled up freezing, and a ice pack on my tank in the back... BF wanted to know why I bought ice... there was snow on the ground!
